ROSES ON ICE / JOURNAL

Those moments in everyday life that we pass without even noticing…

The texture of walls, the lines left on tree bark by the years, the depth offered by a landscape…

When seen through the frame of a photograph, the details I notice, feel, and that so often stir something within me begin to speak another language.

Structures, surfaces and the delicate play of light caught by chance become both inspiration for my designs and details I cannot put out of mind until they become an image.

The historic buildings I discover are part of this language too. Every stone, every line, an echo of the past.

The images I will share in this journal are more than a view. A stance, a feeling. Perhaps a greeting from the past to the present.

Dolmabahçe Palace – ISTANBUL

Following the proclamation of the Republic, Dolmabahçe Palace became Atatürk’s presidential residence.

Built during the Ottoman era, later used as a presidential residence, and the place where Atatürk passed away on 10 November 1938, the palace holds profound importance for the Turkish nation.
